How is the residency process in Mexico concluded?

The foreign person holding a temporary or permanent resident visa, as applicable, must apply to an Immigration office within the next thirty calendar days from their entry into the national territory.

How long will they give me the Resident Card the first time?

The temporary resident card will be valid for one year in accordance with the authorization of the INM.

The permanent resident card will be valid indefinitely, except in the case of foreigners under three years of age, who must renew the card every year until they are three years old.
